Every year the last Thursday of September is dedicated to the Agricultural Show in Joure. This is a standard practice for almost all Frisian companies active in the agricultural sector. Whether as a visitor or as an exhibitor. A pleasant informal get-together, where conversations can include the proverbial small talk, but also legislation and regulations or sustainability ideas can be the talk of the day.
A permanent part of this major event, including the horse market, is a current theme that is communicated in advance by the organization with the exhibitors. The aim of this is to provoke the creativity of the exhibitors to design their stands according to the theme. A fun challenge with a friendly competition element. However, the aim is of course to win that coveted prize for the stand that focuses most sharply on the theme. This year the theme drawn up by the organization was innovations surrounding nitrogen.
At our stand you could find the following items related to the theme: a cow including a trading cover, because nitrogen remains a horse trade; a nitrogen balloon with a value of 25 billion (‘political play money’).
The end result… After years of obtaining a 2nd or 3rd place, it was now time for the name of Rinagro Smart Farming to appear on the name plaque of the Zilveren Pieper.
