It has become a fixed point in many farmers’ calendars, the election day of the Strongest Farm! This year, a diverse group was again nominated to compete for the title of Strongest Farm 2024. An organic dairy farm of the Bruins family, the conventional dairy farm of the Lubbersen family and the nursery of the Munster family.
On Friday 12 July, the day had finally arrived, the day on which the award ceremony for the Strongest Farm would take place. This day was decorated with courses and workshops from all kinds of companies that make a name for themselves on and around the farm with their specialisms and are committed to making the sector future-proof. For example, a delegation from Rinagro was also present on this day as an innovative agricultural-related knowledge partner. We could be found in the central hall during the day.
This election was created and is central to putting the spotlight on innovative, future-oriented farmers and motivating others to take those steps forward as well , but of course all at their own pace, in line with the business operations, the person and the vision.
The day is organised by Agrio as an information provider for the sector at a central point in the Netherlands. This time it was in a complex in Kamerik. During the day itself, the finalists are of course very tense, because who will take home that coveted title at the end! After an afternoon full of courses and workshops, there was a hearty meal and the closing ceremony… The awards ceremony!
The Lubbersen family from Holten was finally allowed to take the title of Strongest Farm 2024 back to the east of the country! And the public award went to the organic dairy farm of the Bruins family.
Once again, congratulations to all the nominees and winners. Everyone who participated is consciously engaged, and that does not always have to be confirmed with a prize.
